Her voice.
She deserves to be listened to without blame, pressure to stay quiet, or someone else taking ownership of her story.
In Her Corner is the separate initiative I’m developing for teenage girls who have experienced sexual abuse within their families. Her voice, safety, and future matter from the moment she speaks.
She deserves to be heard, believed, protected, and fought for when she speaks.
My mission is to help teenage girls reach trustworthy support and advocate for a response that takes a girl’s safety and report seriously.
She deserves to be listened to without blame, pressure to stay quiet, or someone else taking ownership of her story.
She deserves adults and systems that prioritize her safety and pursue a thorough investigation when she reports harm.
She deserves support and choices beyond what happened to her, with room to decide what comes next.

Professionally, I’m Andrea Martin. I’m a mother, writer, creator, and the founder of Andi-Rae by Nicki.
Motherhood, hardship, and rebuilding have shaped my belief that a girl’s voice, safety, and future deserve protection.
I’m developing In Her Corner because I want that belief to become useful work: clear information, trusted connections, and advocacy shaped with people who have the experience to help.
More about me and Andi-Rae
This image represents me with my younger self.
This purpose has roots in my life from childhood to now. I’m bringing the girl I was and the woman I am together, and building from there.
My experiences are my own. This mission stands for teenage girls experiencing sexual abuse within their families, including the girl afraid to tell anybody and the girl who told and still needs protection.
Her safety, dignity, voice, and future are the starting point.
Keeping the peace or protecting someone’s reputation should never come before protecting her. She deserves to be heard and taken seriously, without blame, threats, or pressure to take it back.
She should not have to wait for another child to be harmed or another survivor to come forward before her report receives a thorough investigation and a meaningful pursuit of justice.
Her voice belongs to her. Supporting her means taking her seriously, protecting her privacy, and helping her reach appropriate support without making her story somebody else’s to tell.
I’m developing the initiative’s direction and sharing its purpose. This website offers information and links to established support; it does not provide crisis response, counseling, legal representation, or a confidential reporting service.
Long term, I want to build a trustworthy support community and work toward improvements in how reports are handled. That takes safeguarding, appropriate partnerships, and work that can be measured.
Good advice. Trusted resources. People who care enough to help build it thoughtfully.
I’m beginning with conversations and learning. If you have experience in child protection, survivor advocacy, nonprofit work, or community support, I’d value hearing from you.
